Lara Alcantara
Lara Alcántara Lansberg is a Venezuelan-born, New York-based photographer and multidisciplinary artist known for her conceptual fine art photography, particularly staged self-portraits that explore the complexities of human emotion.
A graduate of NYU and the International Center of Photography/Bard College, Alcántara’s work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of ICP in New York and the National Art Gallery in Caracas.
Her photography is characterized by its exploration of dichotomies such as optimism and cynicism, the comedic and the pensive, and the absurd and the spiritual, inviting viewers to engage with the deeper layers of human emotion and experience.
