Manuela Karin Knaut is a German contemporary artist working across painting, installation, and mixed media. She acquired a Master of Arts in Fine Art at the University of the Witswatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her artistic practice is shaped by extensive travels around the world, where she draws inspiration from the diverse cultures and dynamic urban environments she encounters. Influenced by the transient and imperfect aspects of city life, her work often reflects the vibrant energy of global metropolises.

Her dynamic compositions balance abstraction and figuration, integrating found objects, textiles, and street art influences. Exhibiting internationally since 1990, her work is held in numerous public and private collections. Through her art, Knaut delves into themes of identity, memory, and transformation, inviting viewers to reflect on the interplay between the personal and collective.
