Taher Jaoui

Taher Jaoui, born in 1978 in Tunis, Tunisia, is a contemporary artist whose vibrant works merge abstract expressionism with elements of graffiti, African primitive art, and mathematical symbolism.
Initially trained in financial engineering, Jaoui transitioned fully to art in 2013, drawing on his background in computer science to incorporate abstract equations and biomorphic shapes into his compositions. Using diverse media such as spray paint, charcoal, and oils, his intuitive process results in richly layered, dynamic canvases.
Influenced by the COBRA movement, Jaoui’s art explores primitivism and subconscious expression, with his works exhibited globally and featured in collections across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States.
